Astringent/Lotion ?

~I feel really dense for asking this but I can't remember how you're supposed to apply face lotion when also using astringent. Before astringent? After? Only to areas not treated with astringent???~

After the astringent removes the dirt and oils and grossness, then you put the nice soothing lotion on.

Otherwise the astringent just takes the lotion right back off.

I would add a couple of things just to confuse the situation...If you have oily skin apply astringent to your whole face and neck after you wash your face. Removes all the leftover soap gunk. Then put on the face lotion. However, if you have dry skin or combination skin - oily around your nose or on your forehead - use the astringent there only. And witch hazel is just as good as the astringents you pay a bunch for. If you would like to have a pretty smell, add some lavender oil or such. Then you have such a pretty fresh faced you!
