Question HELP--pricing items for yard sale

I have some linens (cloth napkins, placemats, etc.) and have no idea how to price them for my yard sale. HELP!

They are very nice----some are brand new.

~Personally, I would never pay more than $.50 for placemats or napkins at a yard sale no matter how nice they were. I can get new ones at the thrift store for $.50 each.~

I think what it comes down to is how badly you want to get rid of your things. Do you really want them still sitting there after the yard sale and have to haul them back into your house or to Goodwill. I agree with the price nuisance mentioned as that is about what I would pay as well. Good luck at your sale!

And if someone looks at them and walks away, I'd say make me an offer on the whole lot. And take what they offer. Beats taking it back inside.

I totally agree with everyone. I always price my things so they will move. People don't care how nice things are or how sentimental they are. They just want a good deal.

I had a yard sale once, and didn't put prices on anything. I just told people,"Pay me what you think it's worth". I made a LOT more maney than I thought I would. Yes, a few people took advantage of the situation, but by and large, people paid more than I would have priced the item.

It's WAY easier to have a yard sale when you don't have to think and mark everything!!!

You have to price to sell. Whenever we had a sale we heard people say "they have good prices" more than once. If people think you are selling your things very reasonably, than I think they will look more also. And hopefully buy more.
