Default question for the brits on the forum.....

....but maybe there is someone else from another part of the world who can also help.
There was a TV series a while ago called 'Life on Mars' made by the BBC.
I LOVED LOVED this series but for one reason or another I only managed to see a few episodes.

Now I know that there was also an American version made but I don't know if they were exactly the same (I did see part of the first episode of the first series).

I am watching the BBC series on our Dutch TV 'on demand' but they only have one series.
    My questions -
Was there more than one series?
and maybe stupid but I am so curious
How did it finish? Was he indeed in a coma? And if so, did he come out of it?
What was the importance of 1973?
I hope that there is someone out there who can help.
    Thanks

If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

    Thank you Greebo.
I never thought of using this source.
I have now read all about the series and all I can say is WOW!!!!!
What an imagination of the people who thought/wrote it.
    Thanks again!
