Sam's Club HE Laundry Detergent?
Do they carry their own brand of HE (high efficiency, front loader) laundry detergent?
And if so, do you like it? I need to stock up again, and I am going to Sam's soon.
TIA!
*eta: please do NOT tell me to use regular laundry detergent. I have horrible luck w/appliances, and I am not willing to jeopardize my warranty at this time. I will be using HE detergent for the time being, even if it is a "huge huge waste of money".

Not that I know of. I haven't bought detergent there in several months, and probably won't now that I am making home-made detergent for my HE washer.

I remember always buying the huge buckets of Wind Surf for my work and house and it lasted forever. I did google and didn't find much, so I doubt they have it in their brand. Actually I wish there was way more choices for HE detergent. It would be nice.
I am using homemade HE safe detergent at the moment.

When I was buying my he washer I told the guy I wouldn't buy it if I could only use he detergent because I had alot of regular det at home. He looked it up in the book and found that you can use regular detergent; you just need to use 1/2 the amount. I've been doing it for over 5 years and never had a problem. If you use the full amount you will have a problem with too many suds because of smaller amount of water that these machines use.

I have also had a front-loader for over 15 years and have NEVER used anything but uber-cheap store brand liquid detergent in it. Just use 1/2 the normal amount. That HE stuff is a huge, huge waste of money!!!
Know what else?? I just tear all those dryer sheets in half before using them. Half a sheet works just as well as a full sheet. I've been doing that for years, too!Last edited by MaryCarney; 08-12-2009 at 05:59 PM.

I have a front load and also shop at Sam's. I purchased "Wind Fresh" 32.5 net weight bucket. It's a powder and I have never had a problem with the suds.
