Homemade Popsicles - How do I get them out?
I bought popsicle molds on the weekend and used them today for the first time. I'm trying to make yogurt pops for the kids, we're supposed to have them for desert tonight.
I just tried to take one out, and all I got was the stick. They are hard plastic, I don't see any way to pop them out. Pulling on the top just pulls the stick out. I tried running under hot water, but it didn't do anything.
Anyone have experience with these things?Last edited by monkeywrangler71; 08-12-2009 at 06:12 PM.

Dip them briefly in some hot water. HTH

eta: to clarify...let sit in a pan of water for about 2-3 min.

Allow them to sit out at room temperature for a few minutes OR dip them in warm/hot water, or run warm/hot water over them (15 seconds) - THEN, press the bottom of the container (while holding it upside down) to release them, rather than pulling them by the sticks.
