Best way to use up dip/salad dressing
I have purchased marked down veggie trays which has ranch dressing or chip dip and wondered if anyone has any ideas to use it up. I had thought of marinating chicken and dusting in flour or cracker crumbs and baking, adding to meatloaf. But any other ideas? I would appreciate them. It is an ongoing problem.

My idea would have been to use it as a marinade. I'm not a big fan of dipping my veggies in dip, so I always have leftover dip as a result, as well, when I buy those trays. Sometimes, it's worth it to me to buy the tray as opposed to putting in the time to cut the veggies myself.
I look forward to hearing ideas as to how to use it!My Blog: http://amysreallife.com

Just an idea how about adding it to a dinner roll recipe or a basic white bread and making a savory bread if it's ranch maybe add little chives or green onion to. If it's a creamy Italian maybe add extra basil and garlic or cheese, make a nice bread or roll to go with spaghetti.
If you try it please let me know how it turns out.
I did see this once where they took store bought french bread and jar ranch and spread it out on the bread then broiled it.

Use dressing instead of mayo on sandwiches , use dip instead of sour cream in savory recipes

I love chip dip on baked potatoes instead of using sour cream. YUM! I hardly ever buy chip dip, just when having friends over but I always look forward to having some leftover for baked potatoes.

Use ranch dressing or dip as a substitute for mayo in chicken salad, potato salad, macaroni salad and such.
spread it on your bread for sandwiches insted of mayo.
Add it to salsa to make it a creamy salsa for chips.
Add it to bq sauce and use it for meats when grilling.
Add an avacado and some ranch dressing into the blender and blend till smooth, use as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets, or chicken wings.
Add it your baked potaotes or use it as a dip for french fries.
use it as a maranade for chicken...like chicken kabobs and grill!

Looking forward to reading all the ideas. I have the powder to make it and might get some new ideas from them.
I would use it for a substitue where ever you normally use mayo. I have used it in salads, on sandwiches, potatoes......but your idea of dipping the chicken sounds good too. YUM!

Like all these ideas. Love getting flour tortillas, spreading with the dressing, putting a layer of delimeat, then sliced cheese, roll and slice into one inch pieces.
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.
