Most expensive thing you own?
Outside of your house or car, what is the most expensive thing you own in your home? I'll be honest, I don't own much. If a robber broke into my home, they'd be disappointed. They'd probably leave empty handed. LOL

My jewelry I guess. I could probably sell just about everything else before I would part with any of it, as they were gifts.

We don't own expensive *stuff*.....at least I don't think so. No jewelry, no high end electronics, games, etc. Probably the most valuable thing is dh's good camera. Oh, and guns. But they are always locked in the gun safe.

My camera and computer are the most expensive things I own. And they aren't that expensive. We do have games and consoles though, too. But no jewelry or anything like that. I'm with you, I don't think they'd be hauling off my fridge or my kids' beds. LOL
I guess on the flip side, expensive doesn't always mean it has the most value to you either. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. If you simply mean what's the most expensive (as in $ value regardless of who purchased it) - it would be the locket that my daddy's ashes are in, along with the chain that my mom bought for me to wear it with. I didn't purchase it, but it is the most expensive item that I own. (both monetarily and sentimentally)
As for the items that we have actually purchased ourselves - ummmm.... my washer & dryer! I love my washer/dryer - yet they were purchased (new) from a scratch & dent store!

I have two original pieces of art, both given to me as gifts. One is a small bronze work from an artist in FL who does the huge bronze statues you see in parks. The other is from a local artist who does ceramic work. The bronze statue is probably a couple of grand. The ceramic is not that high, but probably over $1,000. They are not the most VALUABLE items I have, just the most expensive.

My kids - LOL Only kidding.
A very extensive coin collection which includes silver coins, rare coins, rare bills, etc... If you took the face value of each coin/bill (nickel only being worth $0.05, silver dollars only being worth $1.00, etc..) it is several thousand dollars worth. However, since each coin/bill is worth more than its face value, I have no idea of its actual value.DD (19)
