Hot Plate VS Stovetop?
Has anyone looked into the energy consumption, environmental impact, and or economical difference between using a hot plate versus using the stove top?

I'd use our killawatt to measure how much current the hotplate used, if it was electric, then look at the energy rating for the stove? It's not very reasonable to do here as we lose power at least once a winter.
IHTH!
