What's with all the recipes all of the sudden???
How come, suddenly, almost all the postings on 'Frugal Talk' on the home page are recipes??? Just curious

The homepage shows the most recent 10 for a certain range of time on both FV and HG forums. It's not real time. So at that snapshot moment, the most recent 10 included mostly recipes on FV.

Ok, to clear this up. No it was not nor is it now a job. No I am not being paid to do it .....hmmmm unless Sara wants to hire me....Sorry Sara...that WAS a joke. Forgive.
As I have replied to several very nice people who have private messaged me I started doing this several days ago on a day that I was missing my mother really bad. She died awhile back and we both had a hobby of collecting and also concocting some of our own so called copykat recipes. On my last trip to Ohio when she was alive she was giving me differerent things cause she knew it was close. One of the things she gave me was her own notebook/cookbook of the recipes.
While being really down one day wishing I could talk to her and unload problems on her I found and went into the Food section where I had never been before. I looked around and found the Clone section.
I thought cool...and started posting some of our stuff. Maybe I got carried away and offended a few people. Didn't mean to. But I found I really enjoyed doing it. The first day I posted there was only 1, count them, 1 posting period. Now there are ALOT. And apparently most people enjoyed it to no end because I got alot of private messages from very happy people and alot of comments below the recipe. People were actually trying these out as you can see by the postings above this. There's been more people in this section of FV since postings than in a long long time. All you have to do is look at the times viewed to see this.
This is also good for FV also.
So, that's the story, and again if anyone was offended I'm sorry. But most people are enjoying the crap out of it. I'm not being paid nor working for anyone.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

NikoSan999,
I noticed them, but can't imagine why anyone would be offended. I think people just noticed and were curious. I thought they were pretty cool, and I, too, have bookmarked a number of them to try.
I think that it is wonderful that you have found a way to feel close to your mother. I sometimes pick up "Reader's Digest" and read it, because my father read it religiously when he was alive. I don't particularly like the magazine, but reading it brings back a lot of memories. I think maybe I learned to read from imitating my father and his "Reader's Digest"!!

~I love clone recipes too, Niko! I have several clone recipe cookbooks and use them often.
I think it's so great that you took so much time to input them all!
Anyone who doesn't want to see all the recipes come up in "Today's Posts" can just ignore the forum. That's what the ignore feature is for.
I confess I did that myself over the last week so I could read the conversational posts as quickly as possible. But I certainly wasn't offended!
Your recipe posts actually brightened my week and I am looking forward to browsing and trying many that you posted!~~Constance
