Another pyramid question
I searched and I couldn't find my old one to bump.
Okay our friend came over today to watch football like always.(I asked the questions) He showed us on the net how much he was making, so not lying, and his wife too. Together they on an average are making about 300 extra a week. I asked how they get payed and he showed me his debit Visa. That works just like child support is on debit Visa.
In my previous post it is 40 dollars per person to start making money.
You have to sign up two people to start...to even make money and that is it. But they know our financial situation and... they are long year friends just keep saying ...just do this and we can help. They went to Cali for a convention even..
I'm not sure what to think. I know they won't screw us. Been friends way to long and we take care of each others kids if one is sick and do the barter system, etc.
Not asking for someone to say yes or no..Just an ear. Just that diet stuff and skin care sales and I do love the products. Hhhhmmm.
I guess it's fourty bucks to lose or make more...I asked who introduced them to this and it so happened it was one of my old friends from high school and we got out the year books. lol. Small world.

Really, it is not as simple as that. I have been a part of a couple MLMs (multilevel marketing plans - I would suggest you learn and understand the difference) and had heard a variety of marketing plans. While many of them are great businesses to do in your spare time, none are as simple as $40 and signing up 2 people.
In order to be successful, your business has to become your life (see how your friends social events have become marketing events?). Do you want to be with it 24/7? Do you want people to see you and think "Oh no, I hope it isn't the diet plan again"? Are you prepared for people to distance themselves from you? Can you handle 20 "no" answers for every 1 "yes" answer?
The product is not going to "sell itself" for the most part.

$40 to get in, but how is money actually MADE? like 2ndGen said - you have to understand the business structure and how to make it work. Don't get so caught up by $$$ at the end that you fail to evaluate what it takes to actually build up that incoming $$$.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Seriously...if they are pressuring you that much, it's a benefit to THEM, not to you.
I have friends involved in similar things and I finally had to tell them to leave me the heck alone!!!Stinkbug

Really does sound to good to be true. I have always heard that for things like this if you have to spend money to get involved then it is definately not worth it!!! You can always ask them what happens when you don't want to do it any more. How much money do you have to spend to get out of it.
How about trying the websites that pay for surveys etc. I don't think you need to put money down to do that.
Seriously, do you really want to go to friends houses for entertainment or to get them to join the pyramid scheme? Something you should seriously think about since you will probably be trying to get everyone and anyone to join since this is how you make the money.
I would rather have a designated work time frame then any personal time is just that, personal time.

Palooka you should ask them what they did at this convention. These programs sometime operate a secondary industry that involves selling you inspirational/instructional cd's and books that are meant to help you sell the system. What they don't tell you is that for the people who operate the company, this is where the real money is and it's the only point of operating the company in the first place. It's actually pretty hard for most people to make money on these schemes. The 'conventions' are actually just a big book sale.
I could be wrong, but I'd definitely ask them.~Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.~
~The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.~

I think a lot of these plans sort of count on you signing up your friends and selling them products. But if someone from your high school class is already doing it.. and your other friends are already doing it.. who are you going to sell the stuff to?
I'm not trying to be negative, this stuff works for some people. But you really have to be into it and keep track and try to sign up others who will also be really into it.

I was the one that brought the subject up and asked questions. That's how the conversation started.
We was pretty much going off about our football team before.
I hear ya and I know I don't have time for it or even the 'social' part of it. I just know what I read on their site and it did show how good they was doing.
Thanks for all the insight. It's probably not for me.
