Back in august some one took my purse out of the cart while i was getting my baby buckled in to his car seat. They may have only got $4 in cash and my DL... and come CC. but they also cost me the time at the DMV and to replace my DL. $600.... for a new key for my car because it has some special chip in it...$40 to have my credit line put on hold. the cost of a new purse. and coping house keys. and a $22 pedomiter...
I will NEVER do that again.

If you have had your purse stolen - was it on the floor?
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Mine got stolen at work once, now I just carry a small wallet inside my large re-usable grocery bag, If I'm in a store or anywhere I put the wallet in my pocket.
I also have a notarized photo copy of my DL, SSN, birth certificate, and marriage certificate in a safe deposit box. Having to have my mom come from two states away to witness that I was indeed me.. scarred me for LIFE.

Once it was stolen from a security guard at work. He got fired because of it because he was the only other person at work when it was stolen. Another time, a guy running past grabbed my purse and kept running. I started to carry a little wallet instead and put in my jeans pocket until one day after using the bathroom and pulling up my jeans, I saw my wallet had fallen right out of the pocket and onto the bathroom floor. Now I use a purse all the time and keep my eye on it but I seldom carry more than $50 cash on me. Most of the time I'm cash broke so they would not have much to gain but credit cards and checks.
Beginning in Nov and all through until Feb I only carry a small amount of cash and I empty my wallet out of any credit cards and my checkbook. The holiday season is the worst time to shop and carry anything of value on you. I also don't wear any jewelry other than my cheap watch when out shopping. Why worry about being a target when you have little or nothing of value on you? My friend slips a tiny wallet into her bra and it contains her money and license and that's it.

Nope, never. I have had my car stolen, and my house broken into, but never had my purse or wallet stolen, or stolen from.

Nope, I've never had either stolen...never lost them either. My niece did have her purse stolen, but she had left it in her car.

I never (and hopefully ever will) had my purse stolen but I must say that it's a good thing I'm an honest person and some people are just too trusting.
I cannot tell you how many times I see people leave their purses unattended in the cart in the supermarket. Same goes for at the park...leaving your purse/diaper bag dangling from the stroller. Not too smart people, not too smart! All it takes is a quick second for you to turn your back and VOOSH!!! Gone!Jill, SAHM to Ivy Marie 11/24/08
