A completely opposite tip: One year my dad wanted to bug his brother on his birthday. So when he sent the card, he cut off the tip corner of a $20 bill and taped it so it was sticking out of the card. It really looked like there was money in there! He signed the card "love, your little brother". We all got a kick out of that one.

My hubby's Dad turned 80 this past year. We wanted to give him $80. He had been a oyster boat captain most of his life. I thought it would be cool to get 80, $1 bills and fold them into a sailboat shape and put them in a glass jar. My hubby came up with a better idea. He folded the money into the shape of an oyster boat. We framed it. At the party his Dad began to open his cards and was finding money in them and was having so much fun seeing how much was in each one. He saw our gift sitting and had picked it up a felt it and knew it was a frame and thought it was a picture. So he set it aside and opened it last. Well to his surprise when he opened it he realized it was money. He got up and took it around and showed everyone. He said he is not going to spend it, he wants to save it. We told him take a picture of it and go have some fun spending it. I don't think he did.
