ideas for odd board game pieces
Ever have odd game pieces? I know you can get replacement pieces for some games, but I mean when the board game is long gone and all you have are pieces and parts.
I've seen people make i Spy jars and jewelry and that's cute, but any other ideas? If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. You could glue the odd pieces to a picture matte and make a frame out of it.

I think I would glue a small magnet to them and use
them for, well, magnets! You could use them on
magnetic bulletin boards, the frig, or anywhere. You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.

When I was a Den leader I had a box of odd pieces & parts, the kids used them for a variety of craft projects. The one we liked the best was a wreath. The kids made mini wreaths for Christmas & many of the boys chose to use some of the parts to decorate their wreaths.

I usually donate them. I guess I always hoped S.A. would match them in back. We also use them for other games when I was a kid. Our chess queen was a spool for years.

Throw them all together and let the kids use them to make up their own games.

I know for the scrabble tiles I have been making some pretty cool necklaces, you use the tiles as the pendant, cut out what you want on top and heavily cover it clear coat.

I've seen the puzzle pieces painted and used to decorate Christmas ornaments (like wreathes) and picture frames.
I have also seen puzzle pieces hand-painted and turned into decorative pins.McD

You can make a Victorian Surprise Ball..
Take all the strange little pieces and throw in a few pieces of change etc.
Then get 100 ft. of crepe paper streamer and begin by wrapping one little thing into it until its a tiny ball, add another and wrap right over it. Keep going and wrapping layers of interesting little "gifts" into the ever growing ball of crepe paper.
You can make it as big or small as you want, and as you have stuff to go into it. Just try to keep it round. At the end secure the end of the crepe paper with a small piece of tape and wrap a big beautiful bow around it.
Works for the 5-8 crowd for birthdays, christmas, easter (make it egg shaped and throw in chocolate coins), etc. Never met a kid who didn't like them. Would probably work as a great way to give jewelry or money too.

Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

My mom made my brother a GI Joe collage for his wall. She took all of his old dismembered GI Joes and glued them in a pattern on a round board. Came out really cool.

I'm not a very crafty person so I'd probably sell them on ebay and make some money. Have you seen how many games are on sale on ebay that are missing a piece or two? And people love buying complete games.

Some people who play BINGO like to glue little trinkets like game pieces onto a BINGO chip. They call them "lucky" and sell them at places where BINGO is played. At least, that was what I saw a long long time ago when I went to a BINGO.
