I third this one!!!! and the "starting to crystalize" honey stays on the sandwhich better. We keep an older container just for that purpose.

I was always taught that honey is the one food that never goes bad as long as it is stored well.

You could give it as gifts to friends and family if you aren't going to use it. I know I would LOVE to receive some. Since I started using it in place of regular sugar, I buy it in BIG bottles at the farmer's market.

Do you drink tea? The honey & lemon in tea is fantastic, I think.
Regarding the microwave - be very careful, you could melt the container. Ask me how I know!!

I second this. If you know you're not able to use it all up, why not share the wealth? I use raw unpasturized buckwheat honey - YUMMERS!

The absolutely BEST use of honey is on Kentucky Fried Chicken! Don't knock it until you've tried it - it is the bomb-diggity!

Or in BOILING water. Bring the water to a simmer, then turn off the heat, then place the container in the pan of water.

Totally hearing you on this one MC Reminds me of honey garlic wings and when I was a young child, I would only want honey for my chicken mcnuggets from McDonalds. The only other options were bbq sauce, sweet & sour and hot mustard.

I like to mix honey and ketchup together to make sweet and sour sauce. It really is good.

I use it to sweeten smoothies, use as a sugar replacement in iced tea, I make a body scrub with it, And you can use it to sweeten oatmeal. It's also great to use in marinades for pork& chicken.

I wish I lived close by, I'd be glad to take some off your hands. If you are interested in recipes, go to recipezaar.com and search by ingredient, using honey as the search term. You can search those results further by category or by ingredient to find recipes to use up what you have around the house, or to avoid ingredients you cannot use (for example, if you're lactose intolerant). I saw a yummy looking honey pie that uses up a cup of honey, for example.

Mother used to warm up milk with a spoonful of honey as an evening treat, helped us sleep plus warmed us up.
