What do I serve black eyed peas with?
I got a really good deal on a 1lb bag of black eyed peas at publix but I have never made them before. What do they go well with? I have had had them before and liked them but can't for the life of me figure out what to do with them. TIA!

Black-eyed peas, chickpeas, or anything else in the bean family can replace meat in a meal. So, serve with veggies, and potatoes or rice. Curry sauces and tomato sauces would go well with them.

Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

When we have any beans of any kind, that is the main part of the meal. With black-eyed peas, I just add rice to them in the last 20 minutes of the cooking time, so it is done when the peas are. And I also sauted onion, garlic, celery (the leaves if possible) and add that, too. Cornbread is good to go with it.
