I just now noticed this typo. It should say I'm letting him sleep in the house tonight. He's been here since Sunday afternoon. I called and left a message but they haven't come for him. If they don't want us letting him stay in the house, then they should come get him when the weather is too cold for him to be out. It's been below freezing since Sunday night, so T has been in the house the majority of the time and all night both nights.

Poor dog. Maybe you could somehow get an order to get custody of him somehow since it is obvious he wants you and not them. Maybe he isn't even registered and you could get him registered in your name. I am sorry, but I don't see it as stealing. He isn't an object, he has feelings. He chose your family and the people who are supposed to take care of him neglect him. I am sure the authorities would side with you. I would make some calls and find out your options. It sounds like he is a nice dog. Lucky he has you to take care of him!
