The ones with the lids make great storage for pantyhose -- they won't get tangled or snagged in your drawers, and you can write the color/style on the lid. You could also make small first aid kits to keep in the car or office, or keep change in them in a cupholder for toll roads, etc.
Something I've wanted to try with the conical, Yoplait-style cups that have just a foil lid is to cut out the bottom, cover them with scrapbook paper, and then cover the original top opening w/ paper but then punch a hole in it so you can insert a light from a string of Christmas lights and have a whole garland of them to light up and hang over a window or porch. Haven't tried this, but I think it would be cute. Or just cover them with paper and line them up in odd numbers with a flower in each one -- cute with daisies, I bet.
