Squeaky Shoes - Noise control
Well, I bought some shoes that I would really like to wear. At the store I did not notice the squeaking. I am curious, is there anyway to make them stop making noise?
Can't wait to hear what people say.

You may find the information at this link helpful. Personally, I'd take them back since they are new.

Take them back. They'll drive you crazy and you'll never wear them.

Thanks Grainlady. I did the baby powder and it worked. Not bad since I was able to get a pair of naturalizer shoes that would normally be $74.99 for $5

Shoes -Boots
I don't think anyone knew you got them for $5.00, or they might not have suggested taking them back, well I wear a size 15 and I'd like to get a pair of $5 dollar shoes
Have a question for Grainlady, in your link it suggested gluing, would you know what kind of glue, I was given a really great pair of boot, kinda rubber but nice looking and in about a year they were still not worn, but the soles came loose. I put them away in the shed for a few months then the rains came, and I looked at them, found some screws that seemed just the right size, and screwed the soles on. I'd still like to glue them but knowing that rubber products have a funny way of being incompatible, I don't want to ruin them wish I knew what glue to get, then I could take the screws out and line the soles with glue, and screw them back on. They don't leak much now but it would be perfect. Oh they don't squeak

Type of glue.... My first thought was Super Glue, Liquid Nails or Gorilla Glue (which I love...), but then I remembered having a pair of running shoes and the sole started to separate from the shoe and there was a special adhesive for repairing running/sports/tennis type shoes. Who knew? Check a shoe repair shop, hardware store, or hobby store that has a wide variety of glues and read the labels. There's bound to be one that's appropriate.
When I glued my running shoe, I "clamped" the shoe/sole together with duct tape to hold it together, and let the adhesive cure overnight.
After a Google search, I found these brands....
