Sty... ugh. What can I do?
I have a sty on the inside of my upper eyelid in the outer corner of my right eye. Other than warm compresses do you all know anything to help get rid of them? It really hurts
I've never had one before but apparently they're caused by staphylococcus bacteria and I'm really susceptible to staph infections due to my lupus. Please help!

I get them every once in a while, and yes they are a pain. I get sty medicine at CVS. You can also get your doctor to prescribe something but the stuff from CVS works just as well. Hope you get rid of it soon.

It could be a chalazion.

You can wash your eyelids with baby wash and warm water to help remove the excess oils. It helps prevent future cases. Warm compresses with gentle pressure should help. I know they hurt.

How nasty to have one on the inside of your eye!! Don't know of anything to help one there. What has helped mine is to rub gold on it - I usually use my wedding band.....old wives tale I know, but it has worked!! Good luck!!

neosporin ointment right in your eye. take out your contact lenses first.
11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Only thing I do or knew to do is get comfy, close my eyes and place a warm tea bag on the offending spot. Repeat often.
I've read that the tannic acid in tea helps with getting rid of the bacteria. hth.~*Darlene*~

What Darlene said! My mom used to make me do this when I was a kid...it always worked. Make sure you use black tea (orange peko?) because herbals don't have the same properties.

Yep, you have to use black tea. I don't know if green tea would work or not, but herbal teas won't work at all.
And, I have heard the hot compresses thing.
I sure hope it goes away fast.Beak-1996, Toad-1998, and Q-1998
