Where do you buy your essential oils?
I want to get some for making cleaning supplies but they seem so expensive. So, anyone have an inexpensive source of some good essential oils?

I don't know why but I think craft stores sell them...but I don't seem to trust those.
I've purchased mine at the big chain grocery stores in their health section - you know organic foods/products, natural soaps & kinda near the pharmacy with the whey powder/vitamins.
I think you can buy them at Walmart as well but I've never really looked there.
They are expensive up to $30 depending on scent however they do last a long time and are quite potent...a lil does go a long way. Plus some of the scents you imagine smelling one way are totally not going to match with the essential oils version. You may luck out and pick one thats not as costly.

I get mine at the Renaissance Festival from these folks: Oils & Perfumes They sell 1/4 oz bottles for about $5. That may have gone up recently, I haven't bought any the last two years.
As Libby says, it lasts a long time. A few drops goes a long way.
Be sure you don't get any with roller balls. Those are meant to be used as perfume applicators and if you want to add drops to cleaning solutions, it can be a %$#@! to get the ball out.Use it up, Wear it out,

Keep in mind, you only use essential oils by-the-drop, and there are approx. 60 drops in one teaspoon of oil (it also depends on how "thick" (viscosity) the liquid is as to how many drops per teaspoon).
I order essential oils from:
Soapmaking Supply Store - Soap Supplies.
Frontier Co-Op Natural Products - Aromatherapy Essential Oils. 100% pure essential oils and essential oil blends including lavender, eucalyptus and peppermint.
I also add Grapefruit Seed Extract to many homemade cleaning products. I use a simple water/GSE solution in a spritz bottle to safely disinfect in the kitchen (counters, fresh produce, etc.). No scented oils necessary.

freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Oh yes.........CH...........I AGREE. Been there, done that.
I get most of mine from a 'yuppy food store' that we have here.
Some from craft shows or from a couple nursery catalogs that I get.
Here is one website: Nichols Garden Nursery They have some smaller sizes which is nice for some scents that you don't use very often.

A online friend of mine sells Young Living essential oils. I haven't bought any so I don't know the prices, but I think you can go to their web site and purchase them.
