Default Help! Save My Pretty Light Blue Shirt!!!

I accidentally spilled cream soda all over my brand new light blue t-shirt. I was at a movie theater when I did it (free passes!) so I couldn't exactly run home and throw it in the wash. Now it's dried in. How do I get it out?!

Wet the shirt and wet a bar of Fels-Naptha soap. Rub soap over stains, keep adding water making a good lather. Then take the shirt and rub it together working the soap into the stain. Keep rubbing and adding more more water and soap as needed. You should be able to see the stain start ti lift out, keep doing it until it looks gone. Let the shirt sit with the soap on for 15 minutes then throw in the wash on cold. Check shirt after cycle, stain should be gone but hang to dry (do not throw in the dryer because if there's even a shadow of a stain the heat from the dryer will set it) If after shirts dry and if you still see a stain after holding up in the sunlight, repeat the lathering, rubbing & pretreat time.

I've rarely had a stain not come out using this method

Would you believe my super-hero husband did this all on his own after I went to bed last night?! God I love that man!

I use oxi-clean or any other version of it for stains. I have seen it also at the dollar store. Just let the item soak in the mixture. Save a lot of time and energy.

I swear by Shout Gel for really bad stains. I once managed to spill a bottle of olive oil down the front of my very favorite shirt, not possible to replace. I rubbed with the gel, laundered in cold water - a few spots were still there, I had missed them on the first go around, so I had a second round. I still wear that shirt today. I don't buy a lot of laundry products, but this one is worth it to me, and I do look for coupons to cut the cost.

I love my Spray N Wash stain stick ( looks like a giant glue stick ). I think Spray N Wash changed its name to Resolve now though. You swipe it on, and wash when ready - your item can sit up to a wk in the laundry basket until youre ready

For food stains - usually ones with grease, I'll wet the area and put a generous dollup of dishsoap on it and use a clean but old toothbrush and gently rub it in adding water as needed. Then wash right away. This has not done me wrong in the past either.
