    Default math question regarding mulch

    Good morning,

I am going to purchase mulch which is either $8 for a garbage can (approximately 32 gallon) or $42 a yard. I would prefer to purchase it with a garbage can but would like to know how much it would cost a yard doing it this way.

    Thanks!
    Karen

It's going to be way cheaper to purchase by the yard. A yard is almost a pick up load.

    Default mulch question

Thanks for the answer. I may not be able to purchase this by the yard yet-I am going to use my friend's truck because delivery is expensive ($45) and I don't know when he going to be available so I may purchase some bags at Home Depot. They have two prices: $3.88 and $3.20 for 2 cubic feet. At these two prices, how much would this cost a yard?

    Thanks again,
    Karen

In the township that I live in there is a recycling center. Residents can get mulch for FREE they just need to come in and pick it up. Try calling around to see if you have a recycling center near you. Might be able to save some money!

    a cubic yard is 27 cubic feet (3 x 3 x 3)
bagged mulch will usually say on the bag how many cubic feet are in it (generally 2 or 3)
