Default Does anyone use straight talk cell phones?

I have been looking into this prepaid cell service and I would love to get some feedback on straight talk cell phones. Our contract is up in a couple of months and we don't want to renew them because they are expensive. Thank you for your thoughts.

We use Net 10. And are very pleased with it. I think our phones will text, but we've never done that.

We have Straight Talk and are very happy with it. Dh and I both get the $30 prepaid card and it is more then enough for us but the $45 for unlimited is still a great deal. We both have the really cheap phones, have no camera on the phone. I would love to get a better one with camera but don't have the money right now. We have really good service where ever we are.

Over all we are very happy with Straight talk and wish we would have switched over to it earlier then we did.

Off-topic: I actually looked for a no camera phone 3 years ago and couldn't find one through Cingular / ATT.

Thank you for the replies from you three. I think we are going to go with Straight Talk because Clark Howard suggest this is the best deal. We have a few more months before our contract ends so I have time to look into everything.

I have it too! I am on my first month with it, and so far am very pleased. I bought a little more expensive phone for it...got it through walmart.com....came with the phone and the $30 phone card for a bundle deal.....So far the $30 plan is good for me...if at some point I need to go up to the $45 card I will but I really don't forsee that any time soon! Great deal for the money!

I am with Boost mobile right now and I have loved it up until now. We recently moved and the Sprint/Nextel/Boost network doesn't come in at our house so we are thinking of switching to verizon/straight talk network. The only thing is we just bought a new phone for boost mobile so I feel like I have wasted $79.
If anyone is interested I will sell them our phone for $40.

I have Sprint/Nextel and get unlimited for both my husband and I for $40 each a month.

    before taxes and fees

But the extra is worth it for me, because then I don't have to worry about getting cards or signing in online to put money in an account.

Actually with Straight talk you do not have to go and buy the cards every month you can sign up for the automated renewal that will refill your account every month from your bank account or credit card. They also came out with a few new plans where you can buy 6 months or a year at a time.

I have been using Net 10 myself but looking into Straight Talk I may just switch to that. It comes down to 3 cents a minutes, compared to 10 cents for Net 10 so it totally makes sense. I like the coverage on Net 10 and I assume Straight Talk is the same.

I use the AT&T/Cingular service. I pay $100 once a year online. They used to have a $25 bonus, but that's gone. I like that I only have to refill it once a year. I make on average 1 call per month so I never come close to using all of the time, but I figure it averages down to $8.35 a month, so it's cheaper than any other alternative. I don't think my phone has a camera, but I'm not sure. I use it that rarely!

    Default The price is right

The service is on verizon which means good service and coverage. Plus the price is definitely right, looking to save money to spend on the next vacation, since i switched this saves me about 50 dollars a month which builds up quickly. I say go for it.

we have pure talk and love it. You can go to puretalkusa.com and check it out. I live in the middle of no where and get good service. I've had Net 10 and it was really good also. We switched to puretalk because it was cheaper. TC
