Is there not good karma
for helping someone move? I'm asking cuz' when my truck was loaded up, to help a friend of a friend move, I actually got a call from someone else to help them move.
Now, mind you, I am not a professional mover - I just simply have a truck and have moved more than enough times to know how it needs to be loaded. Also, how to keep the process moving ie: Next truck, please!
I also got dehydrated today, which shocked me cuz' I know better.
Jus' wondering cuz' moving is a @$%

We also own a truck and often get them calls asking to help someone move. Sadly I think people take it for granted someones when people have a truck. Many times not even saying thanks. I am the type of person that hates letting people down so we almost always help them move. We moved a few months ago and asked a few friends who had trucks to help us move and sadly none of them did. Theses was all friends that we had helped move.

I think there is. I believe that if you help people it will come back to you. It will happen when you lest expect it. You know the old saying what goes around comes a round. If you do good deeds then brag about it then you really arn't doing it out of the kindness of your heart and that is where good karma comes from.
FernYes I'm out of my mind. It's a dark and scary place in there.

It's nice to be able to help but not be a doormat or extend yourself to the point where you get hurt emotionally or physically. I would have laughed at the call you got Jerry, timing is everything. People call you because they know you are dependable and probably won't saying no.
How about letting the real good friends borrow your truck (and bring it back to you cleaned & with a full gas tank) and leave the lifting to them? You still are helping but not over extending yourself.
Jenny, those "friends" won't be getting any more help from you I hope. That's just not right.~*Darlene*~

Karma really does exist for me. Many times it does show up unexpectantly and or a form that seems almost unnoticable. I would charge for gas, especially if people think you are a moving company.
I think it is great that you help your friends out but seriously who wants to be the private moving company for your friends.

Well if you really want the answer to your question. Karma ALWAYS , always , always comes around but it may not be in the this lifetime.
Souls are eternal. You have past, present, and future lives.

Well there is always a good karma as long as you do good things as well. Just like the famous sayings "Don't do unto others what you don't to do unto you".

If you have a truck and you have friends, the calls will come.We have been on both ends-getting help moving and giving help moving. For many years it has been giving help.I don't believe in karma, I have noticed that we help those who have helped us along the way.

I agree with other poster..............you buy it, they will call!!
Pickups attract friends!!!!
I was 'LOOKING' for a truck a year ago and had three friends say "oh yeah, and when you get your truck we can ....blah....blah.....blah.......(their plans, of course........usually for their yard!)

If you don't want to help, don't help. It's really quite simple. Personally, I enjoy helping others, but I lay out what I expect in return. Moving is beer and pizza, as required by Man Law. Borrowing the pickup means meeting my schedule, and filling it up prior to return.
