Need Game Ideas for a 4-Year Old Girl's Birthday Party
DD2 is having a birthday party this coming Saturday, and I need exciting, fun and frugal birthday party games for a group of about 12 kids. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

Our DD always loved treasure hunts for her birthday parties - no matter the age. One of our neighbors thoughtfully created all the clues that led to a treasure chest of goodies - nothing expensive but the girls and boys all loved participating. The treasure chest could hold individual goodie bags with bubbles, fake tattoos, for the children to play with at the party.
Looking forward to seeing what you decide to do!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Or what about the children making ice cream, frosting their own cupcakes, making instant pudding - all sorts of activities to keep them smiling and engaged!!

Pin the tale on the donkey. I always had this game at dd's bday parties. I would draw or have my dd's (when they were a little older) a picture on a big piece of poster board of a clown or something elso that 1 part could be the "tail". Then I would put each childs name on the part (say the nose of the clown) and a pice of tape (instead of a pin). They always had a good time. Another thing I have done is made cupcakes instead of a cake and have different toppings and let the kids decorate them the way they wanted to. Not a game, but it was fun. I hope your dd and friends have a lot of fun!

blow up balloons and let the kids stomp on them while music plays - they try to pop as many as they can.
Clothespin drop. Take a clothes pin, have the kids kneel on a chair (facing the back of the chair) and try to get a clothespin in a party cup that's on the floor right below the back of he chair. Whoever gets in the most pins wins.
musical chairs - an oldie but goodie.Goals:

If you have a sandbox or just a big box you can fill with something easily, you could have a treasure dig. Put cheap little prizes in. Everyone gets a chance and as soon as they find something, it is the next child's turn.
Coloring pages for the theme of the party. They can hang them up to help decorate the place and then take them home when they are done.

Definitely a homemade pinata. Really cheap and lots of fun for the little ones.
I find that the oldies are always good- musical chairs, balloon pop, pin the tail, etc. We usually do about 3-4 games and save time for eating and checking out the new gifts!

Having a pinata filled with candy and treats is a really good idea. We've done that for DD and it was a blast. Also, "glam girl" parties is a great way to entertain young girls...
