    Default Source For O2 Concentrator?

You guys seem to know everything so here's the question.

I find I need to be on oxygen therapy from time to time (especially overnight) and need to find an O2 concentrator to purchase outright.
Does anyone know of any place I can do this inexpensively? Is there some sort of clearing house for used medical equipment?

I could rent one through my insurance, but the rental for 6 months would pay for one that I could own forever.

    Thanks for any advice.

Not neccessarily, although I'd like the option. Thanks for the quick reply.

    Glad to help.
That one link I gave you is a well known company, at least they advertise bunches. I'll see what else I can find.

Used Portable Oxygen Concentrators | Consigned Oxygen Concentrators | Refurbished Oxygen Concentrators

Used and Refurbished Portable Oxygen Concentrators | Portable Oxygen Concentrators and Home Oxygen Concentrators

I'd call various medical equipment stores in your area and even your doctor for recommendations.
Good luck & I wish you easy breathing & a hug.

Be SURE you can afford repairs before you decide to purchase. If it goes kapoot in the middle of the night or on Christmas - the rental company brings you one right away - if you have to send it for repairs - who knows how long you might be without oxygen.

If your insurance company will rent it for you, after a certain period of time, then will it belong to you ?

Like my sleep apnea machine, the insurance company rented it for me for so many months. Then after they downloaded my usage, they knew I was using it every night, and then the rental money went toward the balance, and then, the insurance company finished paying for it for me.

The requirement for O2 concentrators is increasing day to day. Oxygen concentrator is a portable oxygen concentrator which is used on a prescriptive basis by patients who are diagnosed as requiring supplemental health. I have met with one of my neighbours, They said that won't do any harm to our health. I hope you would recover soon.

the thing with the rentals - = beside repairs- rentals usually include supplememental supplies like tubing humidity cannisters , things to add to tubings to collect the build up in the tubing from the humidity - possibly home pulse oximeter they also give you a few tanks to have in case of outtage and if your insurance is not paying for it - it also may not cover other things related to it - testing etc because it may not recognize you using it .
    crazy but true .

one plus of an actual O2 company- hurricane coming your way you dont have enough tanked 02 to last 24 hrs sitting around - they have to get it to you .

they look like a humdifier but they are much more complicated than that .

When my mom had one, medicare paid the rent and after a certain amount of time it was hers to keep. As someone else pointed out, while renting they repair/replace the machine, bring you supplies, spare parts, etc. on a regular basis.
