Default looking for a corndog recipe...:(

I just tried a corndog recipe... and it was disgusting!
My whole family loves corndogs so I thought it would be a good thing to make homemade since they're a bit expensive....
If you have a recipe would you please share it?
    Thanks!

    We like this one

Corn Dogs Recipe : Alton Brown : Food Network

It doesn't taste like store bought though. It might it you left out the spices.

I have added spices to a box of corn muffin mix - some garlic powder, some onion powder, some paprika, Mmmmm.

I did use AB's tip of putting the batter in a drinking glass and dunking the dog in there to get it coated.

How did you use the mix to make corn dogs? I'm very interested in this as it might be a more kid friendly one. Also did you bake them or fry them?

I think it was a box of Jiffy Corn Muffin mix. I followed the directions to make muffins, added some extra spices then poured it into a glass.

I floured the hot dogs, shook off the excess and dunked them into the glass. I only have a baby fry daddy so I wasn't able to put sticks into the dogs and still have them fit.

I'm not a huge fan of corn bread so the muffin mix is a little sweeter. They fried nicely though.
