I hope you put it back in your freezer and then when you had time, took it back to the store for a refund or exchange. The store cannot fix what it does not know about.

I have 2 family members who are managers at Dollar Trees. And I know they would tell you the same thing. Bring back a item you have a problem with, and it will get took care of.

You're lucky to have a DT that has a freezer section. Our closest one does not. The next closest one does, but gas prices don't make it cost effective for me to go that direction.

PS, If you only have the empty bag, try taking that back.

I have two or three things I do to get cheap spices: 1) I dry my own. I will buy expensive FRESH herbs, use what I want spring-summer and then I hang dry the remainder. This gives me fresh spices at a greatly reduced cost. 2)I buy them at the local oriental food market 3)I grow some of my own: tarragon, mints, chives, sage, and parsley and dry those too.

Since most of the herbs I grow are perennials, they come back year after year, for free, with little work on my part! My dad grew peppermint in SoCal, so I've always had that, it was the first thing I planted when we got here!

I've never bought herbs/spices at the dollar store.

Oh, and I forgot, if you're buying in bulk, try sfherb.com

Didn't think to save anything (sigh) but will remember to if it should happen again.
