    Default sweet pickle relish

    Does sweet pickle relish go bad as long as it is kept in refrigrator i canot find a date on jar and it smell ok and look good but i know it has been in refrigator for quite awhile.

    I'd think it's ok, how long is a long time? Mine lasts months & months (less than a year) & haven't had a problem.

    I've never seen it go bad. If it doesn't feel slimy and isn't moldy (I've never seen mold even on sweet relish) I'd probably eat it, but then I have low standards.

    I've had it in the fridge for over a year and never had it go bad. Here, even small jars last a long long time and it's always been good until the last bit and jar thrown away. Like SD, I'm not that picky either. Smells good, tastes good...it's good to go.
    Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

    Thanks everone i only use a few tablespoons ever once in awhile to go in a potato salad recipe i hate throw out a jar and buy another one going taste it to day see if it taste ok.

    It has such a high concentration of vinegar, I would be quite surprised if it went bad, but I'm fairly certain you would easily be able to tell by sight and smell if it did.
