Rubbermaid Reveal vs Vileda Promist
Both of these are a spinoff from the Swiffer Wet Jet. I like the idea of this type of 'quick mop' b/c they have a built in water/cleaning solution sprayer as well as washable and re-useable microfibre head vs having to buy proprietary cleaning pads & solution. The bonus is that its more 'eco' and 'budget friendly' b/c I'm not throwing out something each time I use it and I can control the strength of the cleaning solution.
I do not have a lot of area to 'mop' often. Usually the kitchen and bathrooms as well as the hallway, combo of ceramic, hardwood & linoleum.
I can't figure out if one is better then the other and/or what the pro's/con's are. Anyone have either of these - if so, which? - and can recommend one?
OR
Should I just stick to the traditional Vildea mop & bucket which I already have? I know its more frugal but frankly, I'm tired of dragging the sloshing bucket around with me. For real super quick clean ups - I just stick a damp microfibre cloth into the regular traditional Swiffer and give the floors a damp wipe.

I have the Rubbermaid Reveal and like it. I've had it almost a year and the sprayer seems to be slightly clogged, but otherwise it's great.

I have the Vileda Promist mop. I really like it but am not sure how it compares to the Rubbermaid mop. When I bought the Vileda mop, the store hadn't received the Reveal mop so I wasn't able to compare the two. I'm sure they're very similar so maybe just check the cost of refills and extra reservoir bottles??

I ended up buying the Vildea ProMist Mop with one mop head refill. I had a coupon for $5 off plus a $5 gift card for the store and the mop was on sale for $19.99. (reg $25) The cashier seemed to have given me a bigger discount and I was not about to argue though I did ask her if she rang it up right.

I must admit, I love the mop!
Its quick, easy and convenient to use - no more sloshing bucket to tote around. I can get through the entire house in about 1cup of solution and 15 minutes providing I keep dad in a carpeted area so he doesn't slip (and make double work for me) The second head comes in handy as well as I don't need to wash the mop head immediately after use should I need to mop the following day. The 2nd head was also a stipulation in order to use the $5 off coupon.
I chose the Vildea vs Rubbermaid due to the design. A lot of reviews listed the Rubbermaid head breaking off often and that the sprayer got clogged but that could go for both models. I do think the cloth head is better on the Vileda though and I LOOOOVE that you can control your own cleaning solution.
So far so good
