right click on the document and save to your hard drive
find the document in your files and you should be able to just double click it and it should open.

    It didn't work............

I get a page with a tiny BLANK page in the middle.

When I went further.........I ended up at some Adobe page where I needed to subscribe to something that "converts" PDF to word.

Is there something that I should have on my comp......that I don't?

Do I have to SUBSCRIBE to something to get this to work?

no, do not subscribe to anything.

Since you have it saved, right click on it in your files and when the window pops up click "open with"

hmmm I have honestly never encountered a document needing Reader X.
If you do download that, be sure to UN-CHECK the box that says: Yes, install McAfee Security Scan Plus - optional (0.98 MB)

    Yeah, I would...........dislike McAfee..........

I still can't get anything to work............it shows up 'on the list' of word documents..............but won't open.

When I double click...........it even opens to the gobbly gook as
    Other for coding........and CHINESE SIMPLIFIED........
When I then click on Windows........it goes to the 'coding' crap.

do I need to check some defaults or something???????

I think your attorney sent it to you in a format that is not useable. call his secretary (they are the ones who know everything anyway) and ask them to resend as plain Word. I have to do this from time to time with attorneys I work with who send things to me in a format we cannot use at work.

He sent PDF........usable, if you can get it open. But my hotmail won't let me open it.........for whatever reason.......who knows.

Am sure he uses PDF as these forms are on his computer by the masses............sort of a pain, but I got it open, thanks to Russ.

Everything is stalled right now anyway.........
