I'm back to price matching and combining coupons with items on sale. I think I can save more than I have been, between Christmas and New Years I'm going to do some serious thought and planning on this.
Never underestimate the power of frugality!

The EC show is NOT reality....You can save money using coupons but no one I know needs 60 bottles of mustard! I use coupons and I am just now getting into price matching at walmart. I am not a walmart fan but today they gained a point in my book...I bought a party tray and the price was $5.26. It ran up as $7.98. The return line was long. I went up to cashier and told her my problem and she took care of me right there at the register so I didn't have to wait lin line for my $2.72. I also had a $3 coupon so I only paid $2.26 for a nice party tray...In todays world, every penny counts...just be sure you use the coupons honestly. I think EC is a bad example of couponing. JMTCW

I started coupons last year and it was so great! I got so much stuff for free, or close to it, and saved a lot of $. I got busy with my photography company, life, my twins, and everything!! I plan to change a lot in 2012, with business, with life in general, and coupons is coming back! I follow one person in particular and she lists the deals from the major drug stores, walmart, and target... it helps a great deal. I just pick the deals I like, and cut the coupons and go shopping.

I've been using coupons over 20 years. I stockpile also. It feels nice to go to my stockpile cabinet and pull out a bottle of shampoo, or tube of toothpaste etc that I got for free or pennies instead of running out and paying full price.
I get my best HBA coupon deals at CVS rolling ECB's.
Always looking for regular coupon traders. If anyone is interested drop me a message.

Well, I probably use two coupons a month. I buy relatively little in the way of processed foods. I find that store brands are generally cheaper than name brands with a coupon - I will only buy store brands that I think are of good quality, but there are a lot I like. I buy an awful lot of fresh meat, produce, etc., and I don't see coupons for that, unless it's the markets.
I'm glad that this works out for those of you who do it, but I hope you are not sacrificing your families' health. And I will admit that I don't do a good job of looking for coupons, but again, I have found most of them still do not give me the best value, unless I can couple them with a store sale on a product.
