help with calendar on android
i have a galaxy tablet thru t-mobile that is "mine " thru work . has the software for work documentation while out in the field etc .
it has a calendar on it which work syncs staff meetings etc to .
we are allowed to add things we want to it as long as its not taking up alot of memory .
i had been adding things to the calendar and spent 2 hours a few weeks ago adding in all the weekends and holidays that are mine the kids school schedules ( days off -1/2 days etc so i can have it with me when figuring work schedules etc )
anyway work did something and it deleted all my things i put in with the last sync ( and i have to sync at least 1x a day if not more to get my work to the office )
sooo i think okay i will download a seperate calendar - well i guess because any downloads use the same gmail addy it moved the few things that are on it to new calender which leads me to believe a sync of work email could delete whats on that one too .
what can i do to make sure i can keep a calander on the tablet that work has no access to accidentally delete ?
make a seperate gmail addy than the one i am signed in to with work .
weird thing is our work email addys have nothing to do with gmail its the companys name .com but we did neet to make up a gmail to get everything started on it .
so i am thinking a seperate gmail may work but i dont know if its on the device as a email can it still be affected ?
thanks for any help anyone very literate on this stuff can help me with .
my dream would be able to have the same calander on my mini laptop- my blackberry and my work galaxy but i think just getting it to stay on my galaxy would be good enough*~Debbi~*

your work stuff may still be threw google even if its not @gmail.com my husbands work is the same way. a seperate gmail account should work depending on the app you can set up some apps with out linking it to a gmail account jorte is one that had that option. let me know if that works been useing android since it first came out used to work for t-mobile as well

okay i downloaded jorte and made it so its Jorte only and doesnt sync with google calander. hopefully this will work
