    Can anyone help in choosing a good stove?

    what do you have to choose from? We have had one for 30 years, pretty much just bought one in a second hand store. Actually we got one from the MW catalog first but when we got it we saw that it was about 3/4 the size of a real one. So we sold it and got an old Charm Crawford.

    I would say, make sure it is in good condition. Check all the bolts that hold the legs together, ours are starting to go. Also check the firebrick inside the fire box.
