I don't really have any unless you count Financial Peace by Dave Ramsey & More than Enough by Dave Ramsey. I've read lots of good frugal living books but I get them at the library. If I ever see some at a library sale I'll probably pick them up.

oh, I did consider the financial management books. I have "The Millionaire Next Door" and "Becoming a Wealthy Woman". Used to have "The Millionaire Mind", but passed it on to one of the children. Once again, I get most of my stuff from the library. Or borrow it from dsis to read.

I have checked a lot out of the library and read them, but didn't like any of them well enough to buy them. I know this is blasphemy on this forum, but a lot of the things they suggested would have eaten up the little free time that I had just to save a few pennies. My free time is extremely valuable to me.
My money-oriented books are:
* Rich Dad, Poor Dad
* The Cashflow Quadrant
* Rich Dad's Guide to Investing
I don't agree with about 80% of what he has to say, but that 20% of what I do agree with has changed my life.

The Complete Tightwad Gazette
More with Less Cookbook
The American Frugal Housewife (although this isn't really helpful)
The Simple Living Guide (which isn't necessarily about frugality, but simplicity seems to go hand-in-hand with it)
For the person who asked about More with Less, I love it. It has some wonderful basic recipes, advice on using things up, simple ingredients that don't cost much. I've liked everything I've tried.

*The Complete Tightwad Gazette
*Not Buying It by Judith Levine ( kind of interesting, a little heavy in some chapters and not really a How-To book, but is her perspective on debt and spending) I think she has been on Oprahs debt diet shows
*1001 Ways to Cut your Expenses-Jonathan Pond--book is over 10 yrs old and a little dated, but still good to take out once in awhile.
I have read the Mary Hunt books at the library and have gotten titles of some others (Simple Abundance) from you folks so I cannot wait to go to check out some others!

I saw an interesting title at Amazon recently called Green with Envy: A Whole New Way to Look at Financial (Un)Happiness by Shira Boss. Put it on hold at the library. (We don't need anymore books in this house!) Anyone read it?

sahmamma:
I'd pick "Not Just Beans" over "More with Less", but only because it's the more recent book. It is very definitely geared to frugality. "More with Less" is more of a book on good stewardship...a slightly different focus, and also a bit older. I use more of the recipes from "Not Just Beans", than I do "More with Less". Hard call though. "More with Less" is such a gentle introduction to the whole subject area.2012 Challenges

I recently checked out Material World from the library. While not specifically a book on frugality, it really motivated me to reassess what I think of as a necessity and to appreciate all the luxuries I take for granted.
The book explores, through photographs and short essays, the lifestyles of "average" citizens of countries throughout the world. It's interesting to compare family sizes, energy footprints, and food costs as a percentage of income, among other things.
It's fascinating peek into the lives of our peers all over the world, and inspired some really wonderful & insightful conversations with my young daughter, who sat for hours paging through the book and asking questions about what she saw.
I can't recommend it highly enough.
