    Default Frugal books?

I have read and reread "The Complete Tightwad Gazette" so many time the cover is about to fall off. Does anyone have any other frugal book suggestions? I am more interested in "how to save money" books than "how to invest money" books.

    Thanks,

    Christy

I saw some books at Christian Books ( at least I think that was the site). They had some books on frugal living. I think the gal who writes them is .....McCoy? I know that is a lot of " I thinks" . I'll try to get better info for you. I'll bet someone on this site has read the books I am talking about.

OK, checked it out. It is Christianbook.com When you get to the site, look to the right and click on "End of Year Inventory Reduction".Then to "Great Deals". Lastly, go to the catagory of "Family Life". The authors name is Jonnie McCoy. They have two of her books. Both are marked down . The first is "Frugal Families:Making the Best Of Your Hard Earned Money. It is regularly $9.99 and is on sale for $3.99. The second book is Miserly Moms (Sounds like me!). It also was regularly $9.99 but is on sale for $3.99. They also have some other really nice stuff marked down to really good prices. Hope this helps you. :santa:

    Thanks Kathy and Sara!

Wow, $3.99 for a book is a great deal. I wonder how much shipping is? I will have to check that out.

Sara, thanks for the link. I think I will go there next.

    Lucie,

I have Frugal Luxuries and am wanting to buy the second book by the same author: Frugal Luxuries by the Season.

A few other books that I have and love are:"1001 Bright Ideas to Stretch Your Dollars" and "The Complete Guide to Creative Gift Giving " by Cynthia Yates. Carla Emory's "Country Encyclopedia" and "Miserly Moms". I also just read a terrific book called "The Shrewd Christian" that I had borrowed from the library.

I also like 12 steps to becoming an organized woman by Lane P. Jordan and Simple Living by Janet Luhers. I've notice the simple living books are alot like frugal books. IMHO

My favorites - as always - are Amy Dacyczyn's Tightwad series & The More With Less Cookbook by Doris Janzen Longacre....

I know there are tons of other great ones, but I always go back to these 4!
