Sometimes, if you irked with the spouse or child, the "d" stands for other words besides sweet ones like "darling" or "dear". It could mean a four letter work that starts with "d" and rhymes with "ram".
I didn't know what that meant when I first came here and i just wanted to say I'm chuckling at some of your explanations.
