I don't think that would work. Some fruits continue to ripen after they are picked (bananas, peaches) but others do not (apples, watermelon).

No, once picked they won't ripen naturally. However... I knew this but couldn't word it very well... so looked it up to copy and paste. It has to do with gases and blah blah. Try this Piney.

If you do not need the orange ripened immediately and would like to use more natural methods of ripening, you can place the orange inside a paper bag along with an apple. Apples are well-known to emit ethylene gases as they ripen. Close the bag by folding over the top, then place the bag in a window where sunlight can warm the orange, checking the package daily to ensure you catch it before it is overripe.

In other words... paper bag with an apple or two on a window sill. Close the bag and check every couple days. Bananas would work too but they're going to go soft where the apple won't.

Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

I've also heard that bananas help to ripen other fruits - give it a go!
