What's the easiest frugal activity you take part in?
The one that takes the least amount of effort or thought? For me it's conserving with not letting the water run while I brush my teeth, etc.. and keeping the lights off when not in use. Those really bug me when Gripey does them without thinking.....

Washing in cold water and air-drying 3/4 of the clothes. Staying home so I don't spend money.

Staying home, since I almost always have a bunch of daycare kids here. Also, I do most laundry in cold water.

I've always done my laundry in cold water, just because that's how my granny told me to do it when I first started. I didn't do it to save money, but I"m glad I started that way now. Most days, I keep the air off until the mid afternoon hours, when it's really hot, then turn it back off before going to bed. I can't wait until I can just leave it off. I've found that couponing is an easy and fun way to do my shopping. I saved about $1200 last month from combining sales and coupons and spent only a little over 200! Easy and entertaining. My kind of activity.

Believe it or not, shopping. I just have gotten into a longtime habit of buying only things on sale, and shopping where I can get things cheapest. It's easy for me to save in that department.
The others are staying home (I'm a homebody), washing in cold water, and keeping the a/c and heat down.
I'm bad about leaving lights on, so I'm changing almost everything out to CFL's.

I would have to say hanging the clothes out on the line. I've only recently joined this frugal living bandwagon and hanging the clothes out is really no biggie. I could say avoiding the mall, but I've always hated shopping so that doesn't really count.

I've learned to keep very little cash on hand except on grocery shopping day or for some other planned purchase. Cash gets frittered away so quickly its not funny and I'm much less likely to pay for something with plastic (and I don't do checks). All money left over after buying whats needed and paying bills then gets transferred to my online savings account. I have been able to save alot more money that way. Thats been my easiest frugal activity.
“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Walking, I need the exersize anyway. If I am just going to get a few things from Krogers, then I walk, this gives me both exersize and keeps me from buying too much, cause I have to carry it home.

Using less of things. I don't even think anymore about using just a dab of toothpaste, 1/4-1/3 of the recommended amount of laundry detergent, a dime sized blob of shampoo, only fill up 1/2 the compartment in the dishwasher with soap... it takes no time at all and saves money.

Cutting back the amounts of items I use, turning off lights, using cold water to wash clothes, cooking from scratch, throwing away catalogs which are temptation to me, using the IM to talk to friends instead of long distance.
