anyone else never use a CC, never ever?
I sometimes feel so alone with this.
We have not used a CC in years.
We truly truly only use debit/cash/checks etc..
I have to budget and there can be no cheating even for deals.
Ya know the $ has to be here today or we don't buy it.

Seriously tracking every dime because when its gone its gone LOL!

We haven't had a cc since the 1990's. I will never go back. That is the one thing I really preach to my children. I have explained how the interest works and they both realize already that it is just robbery.

No credit card use here either. Just cash, checks or debit card use within the parameters of what's available. If we don't have it, we don't buy it.

I do use a CC when we travel but I pay it off immediately. After getting debt free I didn't use it for ages but we found while traveling a lot of places wont take travelers checks anymore.
We have a strict policy of if the cash isn't there = no buy.~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000

We have an American Express that we use - but we pay it off each month. We always have the $$ to cover anything we buy. We only use it for the Costco awards.
Last year we got $200 back to use at Costco and this year it looks like we'll be pretty close again. We've never carried a balance on teh card, so I don't really count it as "using credit" - we treat it like a debit card.~Jessica

same here. dont have a single cc to "fall back on". sometimes when im really tight i worry and think that having a cc would relieve some stress. not nec using it, just knowing that its there just in case. at the moment though, doesnt look like i'll be getting one any time soon.

We do not have a credit card. Haven't used one in two yrs. Sometimes I feel so alone but thats why I come to the village. Most of the time I find people dont believe me when I tell them.

latierra84, you said what I couldnt figure out how to say.
I don't have the "fall back on" thing.
If I cant pay for it, no matter how worthy it is, I don't move foward.
Thank you so much for making me not feel alone.
Its hard being frugal in a "just charge it society".
Does that make sense

DBF is salary sacrificed so we have a CC through that. However, it is really a debit card as we only use our cash thats on it and can only over draw by $100. The beauty is we can pay for things just like using a credit card which is great for mail order items.
