One years worth paper products?
I have heard that some people stock up and buy toilet paper, tissues, paper towels etc in one big load for the whole year and save tones of money by doing so. Does anyone here do this? Are there special companies that offer this service in Canada?

I have a least a years worth of paper products.
The store paid me to take out cottonelle tp a few months back.
They had it on sale for $1 and I traded for some $1 off coupons. Plus for every 5 I bought they gave you $3 off of your bill.
I ended up with about 75 packs of TP.
I also did kleenex on this deal also. They were on sale for $1 each. I had coupons for B3G1 free and also was able to use a .40 coupon when you buy 3. Plus the $3 off of every 5 boxes. I think I got 16 boxes. Also used the overage from the TP to get my total even lower.
Paper towels I got when Target had a deal buy so many get a $5 GC. I used a target coupon and a manufacturer coupon and got bounty cheap.
You just need to watch the sales fliers and match up coupons and you can get cheap paper products.Debra

Several times over the past year or so, Kimberley Clarke has run a rebate program. They had a deal where you'd buy 5 products (Kleenex, etc.) in one trip and then send your receipt in for a $10 rebate. The first time they ran it, there were no conditions except a one per day rule - so you could buy 5 pocket packs a day for 50¢ a piece, then send in for a $10 rebate. The last time they ran it, it was Walmart only and smaller items were excluded. I don't believe it is running at the moment. If they do it again, that would be the time to create a lifetime supply of kleenex

Watch the coupon inserts in the paper - there are typically some for Kleenex products as well as Royale toilet paper. Also there is a Royale coupon on www.save.ca right now. Then watch the flyers, as the large packs of toilet paper will go on for about 1/2 price every month or two - when they do, use your coupons and stock up.
If you want to keep on top of all the current coupons, rebates and major deals, go to Frugal Shopper Canada. Just be careful that you don't get so excited about great deals that you end up spending more! Always a temptation when you start bargain shopping to buy things just because they're a bargain

rebates/coupons in U.S.
I can't believe the rebates and coupons that you girls are getting in the U.S.
Here , in Canada there is no way we are getting the same good deals.

If I had the room, I would get a years worth of paper products.
I buy the tp on sale for 16 rolls for 3.34. Now that I have a vanity in the bathroom and drawers in the linen closet, I may try to stock up and get the tp on sale when it's 3 (16 rolls) packages for $10.
I buy paper towels when they are on sale 3/$1 and stock up like crazy, but they don't have that sale anymore, it's 5/$3 lately. I wait until they run the 3/$10 sales and get the packs of 6 for 3.34. The problem with the paper towels is, if I have them, he will use them... all... in a week! When he thinks we only have the 1 roll, he tends to use the dish towels to dry... see a second roll of paper towels and .... whoooooosh... empty cardboard in the holder by the end of the day.
I buy the toothpaste when they have the 3 tubes of Pepsodent/Aim for $1.99. 12 tubes, and done. I always have my freebies kicking around just incase.
I buy the shampoo, conditioner and bodywash at the Dollar Tree. They are bigger than the bottles I can get for .99 at the grocery store.
The Old Man made some bar soap, so we are set for the year there.
For the liquid handsoap, I just use the anti-bacterial dish soap from the kitchen (bought when it's on sale for .69) I put about 1" in the hand pump bottle and fill with water. It foams up nice and no one has noticed the difference.
I don't buy tissues often, they are are the other endangered species here. I make sure everyone has a small pack. I will buy the tissues in the big boxes when we have the sniffles coming through.
The stores near me don't take printed coupons, which upsets me greatly, they are valid coupons from the vendors sites...
Before we had DD, we had a 'stock room' and it was basically set up like a small store. I am glad we have DD now, but I wish I could have a magical room added on to the condo
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I wish we had rebates like that in Canada - I would definitely be on board. I just buy stuff on sale using my measly single coupons (they don't double them up here either)

I have never seen the double coupon thing in Quebec either. I think it's only in the USA, would love it if they did it here also.

I too stockpile my tp, napkins, paper plates & towels,
toothpaste, deodorant, hand soap/dish detergent.
Whenever there's a great sale I get my
coupons together and stock up. If it
means going to the store a couple of
times so be it.

The only other thing you could try here (in Canada) is buy your tp/kleenex from shoppers when they have a redeem optimum points day....still not as good a deal as in the US.
