Cool Has anyone used America's Best or ForEyes for glasses?

I need to get new glasses, and I keep seeing the commercials for these places. I think they are all over, and not just in our area. I keep seeing the commericals and America's Best is 2 pairs of glasses and eye exam for $69, and ForEyes is a complete pair of glasses and eye exam for $99.

Has anyone used them? Are the advertised prices accurate or are there hidden fees? I'm really going to need new glasses here in the next month or so, and I am trying to do a little shopping around, but it is hard. There are always "hidden" fees, where they get you and a $169 pair of glasses turns into $300! But they won't tell you about that, when you call and ask how much!

So I am just curious if anyone has used either company and what kind of results/experience you had????

~My hubby got glasses and contacts from them last year. The prices were acurate without hidden fees, however, only select frames were available for the 2 for deal. He ended up paying $99 for the exam plus exams for the next 2 years, $125 for the glasses and $100 for 12 months of disposable contacts. We have eye care insurance but it only covered $50 of that. His glasses are designer(Hilfiger or Lauren, can't remember) and were less than half of the prices for designer frames in the mall.~

I love For Eyes. Their selection of inexpensive frames is very large compared to other stores. The contacts are reasonable also.

Thanks so much! I honestly don't care much about designer frames. As long as they look ok, and I can see I am happy!

I just wanted to make sure I was informed walking in the door, so I knew what to expect! I think I will try ForEyes! Thanks!
