Upset with Harveys Supermarket...
I went to Harveys today with several coupons in hand. This was going to be my first time using coupons and I was really excided about being able to save some money.
It took me longer than normal to shop because I was having to find the items that I had the coupon for and compare the price w/coupon to the regular price of the off brands.
I got to the check-out and the clerk looked at the coupons then looked at me. She then left her regis. and brought back a supervisor. The supervisor said they were not allowed to take internet coupons. I had printed these off of a like from the Harveys website. You click the coupon button on their site and it takes you to the coupon site that I printed from!!!! AGGGGGG
When I got home I called their customer service. They tell me that they allow them; but, they don't allow any free items and only up to $2 savings. None of this is listed on their website or print add. They said they would have someone contact me about the coupons.
I was so disappointed! However on the good side I did get $40.36 worth of meats for $19.18. I have found that going on Mondays and Tuesdays you can find the left over meats from the weekend marked down. I freeze all of my meats so they don't go bad and it saves big!

I just went to their website & saw the coupons. If those are the ones you are talking about, they definately should honor them. I wouldn't let this one go if it were me. Sorry they made your first try a problem.

I am sorry that happened to you. Don't get discouraged though and like Darlene said they should have honored them. You did good. Maybe there are some other stores in your area that do take them I have found Walmart , Target , Kmart and CVS usually take internet though YMMV. Also see what other grocery stores there are in your area and find out their policy ahead ( like do they double or triple , take internet, how many of one like do they take and double etc).
For example my store doubles up to .50 but only 4 like in a transaction. So if you have lots of the same coupon for a good sale they will usually let you use the uscan and scan 4 per transaction at a time.
Also look for the largest newspaper in your area ( State) for the best coupons.
Great job on your savings!

As an FYI, email them. I find it satisfying when managers try to make up their own rules (and they do, trust me) to whip out the email reply, directly from their corporate office. I always let the corp office know in my email if I've had a bad experience & at what store. Better to have the policy in writing because anyone can say "Oh but I spoke to your corporate office."

Harveys
Well, I have just spent the past 20 min. sending emails to the other local stores to see if I could get their coupon policy in writting! We have just moved to a small town and their are only three grocery stores; Harveys, IGA, and a mini Piggly Wiggly. I did find a Publix in a near by town (20miles).
I think I will take your advice to also email Harveys headquarters.
I'm not going to give up. I will just be more informed and prepared next time.
