Paper Checks - Do you still use them?
Do you still use paper checks or
is everything paid online with
auto pay that is so popular now?
How comfortable are you paying
your bills and banking online?
I have been using auto pay online
for quite a few years now.
I still on the rare instance that I
have to write a check and it's so
weird. Dh always comments "you're
writing a check".
I'm pretty comfortable and love
auto pay and doing the banking
and such online. I try to be as
careful as I can for security
reasons." May we never let the things we can’t have or don’t have or shouldn’t have spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. As we value our happiness, let us not forget it. One of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be happy without the things we cannot or should not have."

I use checks for my rent and any medical expenses (I can print cleared check copies off my banks webpage). Other than that I pay online or use debit card.

I don't write paper checks at all anymore. I really like using online banking. I even use it for sending my mom or kids money.

I have the same box of checks that I ordered in 2001. How do I know, well I ordered this box before I got married and moved. I got married in July 2001.
I just put address labels over my old address. The only time I write a check is if I have to pay for something at school for the kids. But I hate it because they want there money now but seem to hold on to the check forever.
I use CASH for almost everything or I put it on the CC and pay off each month with bill pay.Debra

I very rarely write a check. Right now I'm writing them for gas and water until the automatic bank debit is set up. I pay bills online, and put daily expenses on a credit card I pay off monthly. That makes record keeping easiest for me.

Until they outlaw checks I will use them, they are safer for the consumer and I value my indentity above the convience and security of the retailer. When they start asking for ID for a debit card I might use mine more but until then I will pay bills online and my other stuff with a check!

The last time I even touched a paper cheque was just short of 2 yrs ago when I handed it to HR so they could direct deposit my pay
Ok ok, I fibbed, I got a GST chq in the mail this month. I like keeping that on paper vs direct deposit is that I will KNOW when it shows up and can cash it or stash it later - kinda like bonus $$$. Not much but enough to get you by until payday. I pay everything online or via CC/debit.

I pay everything with a credit card, and pay the balance off monthly with a check. For small things I pay cash. Never will pay bills at home online.

We only use checks to pay for bills that we have to mail out of town. payment is automatically taken out of our account by the bank for a loan we have. Everything else is paid for in cash
