need cheap baby food
Where do you buy the cheapest baby food?
I need just the meat jars. Mostly lamb, veal, chicken and turkey. not the ones with vegatables in them.
No its not for a baby, its for my hyperthroid cat. She needs to put on weight & the vet said to mix it in her cat food. This can really become expensive on the food bill.Pine trees, with their needles pointing up to heaven, represent everlasting light and life.

You may be better off just using table food and putting them in the food processor to make a pate. Thats what I did for DD's food... and I still do it from time to time if I am too sick to put in my chompers
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I agree, make your own. Buy some cheap cuts of meat that have been marked down and cook, then process and freeze in ice cube trays. pop out and bag up, removing a cube as needed.

Well put LadyV! I did this too especially with the twins. An inexpensive little food processor is about 8 dollars at any mart store. Make your own meat, process with water and you have your kitty food. Good luck!

Thanks for the ideas. I've already tried that, she won't eat it. She just smells it & walks away. I can't wait to see if she eats it, she needs to eat all the time.
She only eats the meat from those little jars. Yeah I know picky.Pine trees, with their needles pointing up to heaven, represent everlasting light and life.

Another Choice could be Science Diet a/dŽ Canine/Feline.. which is specifically made for animals who need to pack on the LB's and tastes YUMMY to them... warm it up a touch and they chow down!! I have seen animals that wouldn't eat anything go bananas over this stuff.
Another choice could be a mixture of animal organ and meats and an egg yolk blended together with a gravy made with corn starch. Other then meat cornstarch is the only other ingredient in meat baby food. There is no salt or anything else.
The organs if you can find livers have a good amount of fat in them which increases the calories. The Yolk adds calories as well and a good flavor.
Q, Does your cat like Tuna fish? canned Stinky tuna... if so try feeding this in a tuna can or with a drizzle of the tuna water over it.. Heck or add a little tuna to the mix. It would add salt to the equation, but sometimes.
Tuna has been known to pile on the weight expecially in the chest area causing issues, but if your cat needs to pile on the LB that might be what it needs. Anything to get her to eat well.

Perhaps you could get her used to the homemade meat if you mixed it with the jarred stuff, gradually adding more until she gets used to it. Just a thought.
