Default How did you come out in March?

I keep making improvements and that's definitely a good thing.

We ate out 3 of the 31 days in March.
I added $50 to the EF.
    I saved $46.25 in coupons.
I added to my change jars.

Once again, I blew my grocery challenge. I had budgeted $500 for groceries and I went over by $18.86. However, in January I was over by $93.81 and in February I was over by $40.06. Still needs work, but I have done much better. I also did a little more stockpiling and that is always a plus.

Let's all have an amazing April!

I was over on groceries by $26+ some change give or take.
I added $500 to our EF.
    I saved $60 in ones.
    I added to my change.
I also have some more pennies saved, but haven't added them into my total yet...they don't accumulate very quickly around here.
    I read my book.
I added $258 to my medical fund, but we have paid medical bills out of that fund.
    I paid off the IRS...at least I thought I had...so we'll see.

Overall, I feel pretty good about what I managed to accomplish!

Default Let me just state for the record

In month that came in like a lion and left like a lion... I wasn't a member here.
    I was spending.

So... the damage in March alone is as follows.

    My gross income: $4400
    My gross outgo: $6300
    In the red: -$1900
I had to put that on the charge card.

April is here now... and I'm breaking even. We'll see what the end brings.

I managed to stay under my grocery budget. We ate out twice. I had added $200 to the EF. So all in all not too bad last month.

    March was not good

In the red by about $250 due to overspending, DH getting sick and being off for over a week with no pay, and emotional tourmoil that was not good for my soul or our finances.

We seem to be back on track this month though.

March was horrible for us... I fractured my foot (there went $700...no health insurance and no clinics up here)... I couldn't walk so couldn't bargain hunt/get loss leaders, scratch cook, scratch bake...nothing... And Dh has been swamped with homework (18 credits) the whole time so we ended up getting drive thru food or eating cold cereal or pb&j a bunch. And with no dishwasher and no time for him to do dishes and me with my foot in the air we had to buy paper plates and plastic cups... ARGH!!! NOT a good month...

I'm still not totally mobile. I can't wait to be back to normal!!
