    Default Ever tried Green Bags?

I'm thinking of getting some of these. They are suppose to keep your produce fresh longer. Has anyone tried them and what did you think?

I have been using them for over a year now. I think they work great! everything seems to last longer (for items we don't eat alot of in a week) The celery definetly lasts longer in them rather than the wet papertowel, wrapped in alum foil trick I used to do. They are somewhat expensive ($5 at Whole Foods for 10 of them) but you can reuse them constantly...as long as your dh doesn't throw them away! grrrr...I bought my first pack last year around this time and I still have 3 left from that pack, so I just bought another pack.

I put my apples, bananas in them (in seperate bags) and leave them on the counter and they last until ds inhales whatever fruit I've purchased.

Again, not inexpensive, but I think they're worth it.

Thank you. I'm glad to hear they actually work. I'm going to buy some.

I need to buy some. Sounds like a great idea since I always forget about fruits and veggies in the fridge and always feel bad about throwing them out when they rot.

What are they actually made of? Why are they so different? I'd be curious if there's any off-gassing to maintain freshness, and what of...

aaahhh...never mind. Found a website on them...

I heard they are at walmart in the produce section for free. So the last time I had to go there for something I grabbed a handfull.
