per serving or per pound
I personally think prices are misleading when they state per serving instead of per pound. When I shop I go by per pound since I don't count on eating only "the per serving" suggested.

I actually go by the pound, because everyone eats different size servings. I kind of know that regular ground beef is about 1/3 suet/lb. So a pound will serve 3 or 4 of us. I don't really bother with the per serving figures at all.
The per unit figures are different. I use those to do price comparisons.
