Lookie what I did!
I'm in a doll quilt swap with some blogger friends. I received my quilt last week - isn't it adorable? Blog Pictures 192.jpg
Of course when I sat down at the machine to start mine, I changed my mind at the last minute. I decided to try to tackle prarie points and set them in a 3-D pinwheel....I'm going to set four blocks together (2x2) with sashings in between - I'll post the finished top when I get it finished....

Cute! Hey, maybe we should start a quilt block exchange group on here?! Make a couple of quilt blocks and exchange them until everyone has enough to make a quilt? It would be a great way to clear out the scrap bags!

Hmmm....We'd need maybe 6-12 people and probably have to do 10-12 inch blocks. Maybe do autograph blocks?
It'll do the spam spam spam thing on me if i try to post the web site, but there's a site called quilterscache dot com where they have THOUSANDS of quilt block patterns
If we can find enough willing participants, I'm all for it!

Maybe LATE summer LOL. I still have Socks for Soldiers that I've been knitting on since January, and my never ending pile of bonnets to crochet and knit (I sell reenactment clothing to Civil War reenactors on E-Bay for a living, among other things) Hey, what did you think of that one girl who was making the BS

She's got a few screws loose up yonder, eh? But don't we all.... LOL

Just an FYI, it would be a nice thing to contact Marcia and ask permission to use her site for the swap. I did on another forum and she was really great but I felt better asking ahead of time to make sure. Good luck with the swap, I'm up to my neck in projects or I would join in.

The doll quilt is soooo cute! I love your idea with the pinwheels. I love 3-D quilts too! Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
I'm in the swap too. Just let me know!
