Making yoyos

I have a gift wallhanging for a teacher friend across the country that has just been sitting around and I decided to start the embellishments on it.

I pulled out my unused Clover yoyo maker I have had for a year without even opening the package and I am thrilled!

They are so fast and easy. I sat for 4 hours watching Lost on SciFi channel just making yoyos. I made more than I needed.

I am eying my scrap tubs...I caould just sit and make yoyos for other future projects!

My walhanging is red, green and golden yellow. Apple prints and laces, buttons, balck and white polka dot yoyos and teacher type patches.

I should be finished soon and ready to bind.

[FONT="Arial Narrow"][COLOR="YellowGreen"]I love making yo-yos. I made about 200 this summer and mounted them to a piece of scrap wood using some fine gauge wire. Then I finished it off with a bead. All of this cost pennies to make, my dd helped and she will be giving them as Christmas ornaments to her teachers.

I've never used a yo yo maker before. Does it really make it that much easier? I'm headed to JoAnn's tomorrow.....maybe I'll see if they have any on sale.
